Prepare a DELICIOUS chicken curry rice bowl

Ingredients

For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 200g of chicken breast
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 3/4 cup cooking cream
  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon fresh or ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • sea salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions
  • Cook the rice in a pan of salted water. Cook it according to the package directions. Once cooked, drain it, and keep it warm.
  • Meanwhile, pour olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add diced onion and saute up
  • Peel the onions and chop them. Cut the chicken breast into pieces.
  • In a frying pan, heat the olive oil and throw in the chopped onions. saute up until the onions are nicely browned, then add garlic.
  • Next add the chicken pieces and spices: ginger, cumin, curcuma and half quantity of curry. Cook everything for a few minutes.
  • Then add tomato puree and simmer for 2 minutes. Finally pour the cream, the remaining curry and chopped parsley.
  •  Add salt and pepper based on your preferences, mix well and simmer for about 3 minutes.
  • You can also add a bit of pepper flakes if you do love to.

Dress up your chicken curry rice bowl

Dress up your bowls by placing a nice part of basmati rice in a side, and adding the chicken curry sauce on the other side. You can also place the rice in the bowl and then pour the sauce on to of it. Sprinkle the rice with a bit of fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Unleash your creativity to create new versions of this amazing chicken curry rice bowl recipe by adding other ingredients you like. Feel free to replace olive oil by coconut oil or cooking cream by coconut cream. The limit is the sky in cuisine.
