No-bake oats and dates energy balls

I love oatmeal energy bites. Once I have prepared them for the first time, they have turned into a habit for me. It is effortless to make and easy to take from the fridge when you carve for something sweet.

These energy bites have an excellent mix of carbs, protein, fiber, and fats you need to keep a healthy diet. They are made with simple and healthy ingredients I have ordinarily at home: dates, oats, and nuts.

Instructions
  • First, blend the dates in a food processor and place its dough in a bowl.
  • Grate finely the carrot and add it to the bowl.
  • Cut almonds and walnuts into medium pieces using a knife. Add them to the mix.
  • Add oats, vanilla extract, salt, and cacao powder.
  • Combine all the ingredients until the mix is homogeneous.

  • Shape the balls well using your hands. The stickiness of dates will help to bind the balls together.
  • If the preparation sticks to your fingers while rolling the balls, moisten them before taking the mixture.
  • Once the balls are formed perfectly, roll them in coconut flakes.
  • Now the balls are ready to serve. Bon appetite!
